Gary McDonald is an Associate Director in Guidehouse’s Integrated Modeling Solutions group within the Communities, Energy, and Infrastructure practice. He has over 20 years of experience in U.S. power market research and modeling, with deep expertise across PJM, NYISO, and ISO-NE. Gary specializes in grid reliability analysis, developing capacity price forecasts and effective load carrying capability (ELCC) outlooks, and has advised clients on market entry strategies and asset location. He holds a B.A. in Economics and Mathematics from Boston University.
