Iris Badezet-Delory

Iris is a third-year undergraduate at the University of Chicago, majoring in Physics and Classics. Her academic interests center on climate science and sustainability. On campus, she serves as the co-president of the Energy and Climate Club and the co-editor-in-chief of the University of Chicago Sustainability Dialogue. Alongside her leadership work, Iris conducts climate science research at both UChicago and Princeton, with a focus on understanding the mechanisms behind extreme weather and large-scale climate variability using machine learning and statistical tools. After attending COP29 in Azerbaijan in November 2024, she has also been exploring her interests in climate finance.
