Dr. Laura Bergedieck

Laura leads RWE Clean Energy’s Hydrogen Development team since summer 2023. She joined RWE in 2019 and has held various commercial and strategic roles. She holds a MSc in Public Policy from the University of Chicago and a BSc in Economics from the University of Mannheim, Germany. Laura started her career with the global NGO CDP supporting companies in measuring and managing their carbon emissions and has worked for the International Finance Corporation (World Bank) and in economic consulting.

In her current role, she focuses on adding electrolyzers to RWE’s portfolio of wind, solar, and battery assets, to produce carbon-free hydrogen. Her team also takes on the new task to develop sites for data centers given the similarities in requirements for land, interconnection, water, and potential synergies with RWE’s generation assets.
